Third-Party Funding Working Group
The requirements for applying for, approving, and accounting for third-party funded projects are increasing—and with them the need for good, collegially coordinated application advice. In addition to more complex funding conditions, topics such as AI-supported tools, data protection, IT security, sustainability, and compliance and audit requirements are becoming increasingly important. Many face similar challenges – so why not develop solutions together instead of dealing with each issue separately within your own institution?
The Third-Party Funding Working Group provides a framework for exchanging experiences, pooling questions, and jointly developing practical approaches to application advice:
- How can researchers be provided with tailored support throughout the entire application process?
- What knowledge do research officers really need – and where is it better for other departments to take over?
- How can compliance, auditability, data protection, and sustainability requirements be taken into account when submitting applications and managing funds?
The working group brings together colleagues from universities, universities of applied sciences, and non-university research institutions. Anyone who not only manages application processes but also actively seeks to improve them, test new advisory concepts, and jointly design sustainable structures in third-party funding advice - from application to project management - is welcome to join.
