Funding Quartet Working Group
The funding landscape is diverse and complex – it is often difficult, especially for newcomers to science and administration, to gain an overview of the large number of different funding providers and formats for acquiring third-party funding.
The Funding Quartet Working Group was founded with the aim of designing and developing innovative, game-based methods for funding advice in research and transfer management. The focus is on the eponymous gamification tool “Förderquartett,” which makes funding formats comparable according to the well-known quartet or trump principle, thus enabling structured access to complex funding landscapes and conveying relationships between funding formats in a playful way. The tool is suitable for interactive training formats, the creation of funding matrices, and as a low-threshold learning and information resource.
Following the successful launch of the first edition in 2025 at the FORTRAMA annual conference, the working group is now focusing on the further development of the quartet in terms of content and didactics, the exchange of ideas on further possible applications, and the development of new production and distribution channels.
In addition, we are dedicated to developing and testing further innovative methods and gamification tools in funding advice to strengthen research and transfer management in science and administration.
