Working Group on Denominational Universities

Through their structures and their state (re)funding, denominational universities often face different prerequisites and practical challenges compared to state universities, even if they are fundamentally similar. This is often accompanied by specific requirements in dealing with current changes in research and technology transfer, both at the university of applied sciences (HAW) level and at the university level.

Thus, on the one hand, much is handled in principle similarly, but on the other hand – given the often existing integration structures – pragmatic and practice-oriented approaches and solutions must be found. The existing exchange formats at the state level are very helpful here, but there is often insufficient resonance due to the relatively small number of denominational universities.

The working group aims to provide a space to discuss current challenges faced by denominational universities in the context of research, development, and transfer, and to exchange ideas in an informal setting in order to benefit from the knowledge of all and, furthermore, to integrate best practices at one’s own university.

Central to us is the collegial exchange on current developments and challenges from everyday practice.

Members of the network from universities, universities of applied sciences, and non-university research institutions are equally invited and warmly welcome to participate in the working group!

For more information, please see the forum under the section Working Group on Denominational Universities.

Exchange is usually online.
